WP-Client v.3.4.5

We are happy to announce the release of WP-Client v.3.4.5! Included in this update are several exciting new features, as well as a few tweaks and bug fixes.

The first new feature we are calling the “Customizer.” The Customizer tool allows you edit the formatting, spacing, font, and coloring of various components of WP-Client, without needing any CSS or coding knowledge. It is essentially a “visual” CSS editor, allowing you to make styling changes down to the exact pixel, all from a user-friendly editor menu. Additionally, if you do have CSS knowledge, you can expand the reach of the Customizer, and use it to edit any component that has a CSS ID. Don’t know CSS? Don’t worry! The Customizer tool is designed to be as simple as possible, letting you get the exact look and feel you desire in the HUB Page, without needing to know a single line of code.

The other big addition in this release is the “Permissions Report.” The Permissions Report tool is designed to show comprehensive reports of the assigned permissions given based on Client or Circle affiliation, and by what path those permissions were assigned. This helps you ensure that your permissions are set up the way you intended and helps identify any possible accidental assignment of permissions that you did not intend. Have a file that is assigned to several clients, and want to make sure they should all have access? Simply run a permission report for that file, and it will break down exactly who is assigned to a certain file, and how that permission was granted, allowing you to quickly view and remove any unintended assignments.

Also of note in this release is the addition of a “table” styling for displaying files on a client’s HUB Page. You can now choose to display files in the standard “list” format, or a more structured “table.” Display files in the table allows you to display thumbnails for files, as well as present graphical interaction buttons for downloading and deleting. You can choose which file display style you would like by editing the appropriate HUB Template.

In addition to these new features, this release also aims to resolve a few reported issues related to private messaging and file sharing. A few other minor bugs are addressed as well, in addition to the normal streamlining.
